May Regular Board Meeting Minutes

May 17, 2021 

Vice President, Amy Hinkley, called the regular board meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

The pledge of allegiance was recited.

Roll Call was taken and all board members were present. (Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke, Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole and Brandi Revers were present). Also present: Superintendent, Deanna Edens.

Motion to approve minutes was made by Robert Clarke and supported by Stacie Clark. All board members present were in agreement (Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole, Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke and Brandi Revers).

Visitors (Public Comment) – Mr. Alger Neinas addressed the board concerning “opposite gender dress day” during Spirit Week.

A motion was made by Stacie Clark to accept and pay the bills and supported by Nate Wickard. All board members present were in agreement and the motion was carried (Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke, Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole and Brandi Revers were present).

A motion was made by Brandi Revers to approve the ISD Budget for the 2021-2022 school year, and the motion was supported by Nate Wickard. All board members present were in agreement.  (Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole, Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke and Brandi Revers).

A motion was made by Robert Clarke to designate Stacie Clark as district representative for the ISD election. The motion was supported by Nate Wickard. All board members present were in agreement. (Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke, Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole and Brandi Revers were present).

A motion was made by Robert Clarke to designate Amy Hinkley as the alternative district representative for the ISD election. The motion was supported by Nate Wickard. All board members present were in agreement. (Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke, Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole and Brandi Revers were present).

A motion was made by Robert Clarke to vote for Todd Moore for the HCISD Board for a full term (6 years). The motion was supported by Brandi Revers. All board members present were in agreement. (Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke, Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole and Brandi Revers were present). 

Informational – Personnel (Retirements/Lay-offs) were discussed

Adjournment – A motion was made by Amy Hinkley to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. and was supported by Brandi Revers. All board members present were in agreement and the motion was carried.  (Nate Wickard, Robert Clarke, Amy Hinkley, Stacie Clark, Melissa Curtis, Erin Cole and Brandi Revers were present).
