Mr. Josh McDowell

The Pittsford Board of Education is pleased to announce Josh McDowell as the new full-time superintendent at Pittsford Area
Schools. Josh is a 1998 Pittsford Area Schools graduate. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University, a Master of Arts in Education Leadership from Eastern Michigan University, and has completed the Michigan Leadership Institute SUPES Academy. Along with 6 years of teaching experience, Josh has 11 years of administrative experience. He and his wife Abby have 2 children, Colin and Ian. Fun Fact: The family has traveled to 34 National Parks across the United States. Stacie Clark, board president, stated, “We are excited to welcome Josh McDowell as our new superintendent. He has shown great energy and enthusiasm. His contract began July 1, 2022, but he started working as soon as he was offered the position in May. The Board of Education is looking forward to working with Josh and the great things to come for our students, staff, and community. Josh added the following, “The Pittsford community has a history of excellence in education and athletics, and I will work as hard as I possibly can to make sure that it continues. I care a lot about this school and to be able to give back to the community that has given me so much throughout my life, is an honor. I look forward to working with the staff, students, parents, and community members to ensure that our students receive the best education in Hillsdale County.”
