Vaping: What Parents and Students Need to Know!
Vaping devices are increasingly showing up in school parking lots, bathrooms, and even classrooms. Many kids seem unaware of the risks involved. A recent survey found that most youthful users didn’t know that vapor pods, which come in hundreds of kid-friendly flavors like gummy worms and cotton candy contain highly addictive nicotine—a single pod containing 200 puffs can have just as much as a pack of Marlboros or Camels.
Vaping is NOT allowed in school. Vaping falls under our existing school policy on drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. This means that any form of e-cigarette or JUUL device is prohibited on school property, inside or outside. This applies to not only students but adults attending events, including athletic events, at our school.
It's very important that parents, students and school staff educate themselves about this health risk.
