Good Evening Wildcat families, We have great news to share, the Jackson County ISD Technology team has been working hard to restore the critical operating systems for schools in both Jackson and HIllsdale Counties and we are able and prepared to welcome students back to school tomorrow, Thursday, November 17, 2022. Our number one priority was to get kids back in school and we're thrilled to be able to do that tomorrow. While the restoration efforts continue, the essential systems are back online and this allows us to safely resume operations. However, students will continue to have limited access to several technology resources when they return tomorrow, as the teams continue to work on restoring additional systems. We understand the challenges this has created for our community. Unfortunately, the criminals responsible for ransomware attacks such as these have been targeting schools across the country. We understand that there may be additional questions surrounding the incident, however, the investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Thank you to our students, families and staff for their patience and understanding during this tough situation. We look forward to seeing the students' smiling faces tomorrow morning! Have a great evening! Mr. McDowell
