*Big Buck Contest* It's that time of year again! Many students have been asking me to cancel school tomorrow for opening day. Although we are still going to have school, we are going to have another big buck contest this year. The categories for this year include the Youth Hunt, K-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Trophies will be handed out to the winning students in each category as well as one for the overall biggest buck. Thank you to Countryside Trophies and Awards for donating the trophies again this year! We are scoring the deer this year to determine winners. If you harvest a buck, please show Mr. McDowell the picture and get a scoring sheet from his office. Any student who harvests a deer (buck or doe) will have a chance to win a door prize, courtesy of the Pittsford Trap Team. The contest will run until December 15th. Awards will be handed out on Wednesday, December 18th. Thank you to the Pittsford Trap Team for their donations of the prizes!! I want to wish all of the hunters the best of luck tomorrow. 2024 MHSAA Division 4 Cross Country Finals Congratulations to senior Riley McCumber and sophomore Lillian Jagielski for competing at the Cross Country State Meet today. The girls represented Pittsford very well! 243 runners competed in the girls race and Riley finished in 33rd place with a time of 20:15 and Lilly finished 157th with a time of 22:37. We are very proud of these girls and our entire cross country program! It takes a lot of time, dedication and hard work to run Cross Country and especially to make it to the Finals. Great job girls!
